Frequently asked questions

Have a question about Frigoulette chocolates? A problem with ordering or with your delivery? Here are the questions our team is asked most often.
How long can I keep my chocolates, and how should I store them?

The best before date is shown on the underside of each box. We recommend keeping your chocolates somewhere cool (between 16 and 18°C), away from light. A cellar or the salad drawer of the fridge will do, as long as they stay well wrapped in their original packaging. To bring out their full flavour, take them out of the fridge about two hours before enjoying them.

Can I visit the Frigoulette chocolate factory?

Yes! The chocolate factory is in Beaufort-sur-Gervanne, in the Vercors Regional Natural Park. It is open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, with free tastings and no booking needed. Guided visits, “Sur la route du chocolat” (On the Chocolate Trail), are also available by reservation.

How do I book a workshop or a visit?

Online, on the Book a workshop or a visit page: choose your activity, the date and the number of participants, then pay online. Your places are secured as soon as you have paid.

What happens if a session does not reach the minimum number of participants?

A session goes ahead once it has a minimum number of participants. If this number has not been reached by the deadline and the session is cancelled, you will be refunded in full, with no action needed on your part.

Can I cancel my booking?

Bookings are non-refundable. The only exception is if the session doesn’t go ahead, whether through a lack of participants or because of us: you’ll then be refunded in full, with no need to do anything. Can’t make it? Give us a call.

Can I book a session just for my group?

Yes, on request, with a quote. Tell us the date, the number of people and what you have in mind via our Groups and private hire page, and we’ll put together a programme and a price for you.

Where do your cocoa beans come from?

Our beans come from the island of São Tomé and Príncipe, nicknamed “Chocolate Island”. It was the world’s leading producer of fine cocoa beans in the early 20th century, and today it offers a single-origin chocolate with organic and fair-trade certification.

Do you use organic ingredients?

Yes, we are an organic and fair-trade chocolate maker. The Frigoulette workshop uses no animal fat and makes pure cocoa butter chocolate, free from palm oil and gluten. A real treat, good for your health and your spirits!
